We think your riding holiday should have nothing to do with ‘roughing it’! So the hard physical adventure goes hand in hand with a little touch of luxury at Ride Andalucia. We have found ‘special’ hotels for our guests, good restaurants serving excellent local food and our picnics are waiting around a bend of the trail with chilled wine and seasonal fare.

Regular Rides
Ride Andalucia offers a variety of riding trips of one or more days in the ‘Serrania de Ronda’, Andalucia, Spain. These may be SET DATE departures or PRIVATE RIDES.
The 4, 5, 6 and 7 day departures are for riders “able to ride comfortably and in control at all paces on a reasonably trained horse in open ground”.
The PRIVATE rides are adapted in length and pace to suit the riders.
Our regular rides include the SWEET CHESTNUT & WILD LAVENDER RIDE, THE CORK CUTTERS´CIRCUIT, LOST VALLEY ROUTE and CASTLE PLAINS. For these tours guests ride on to a different location every day.
An ideal ride for novice riders is the SHEPHERDS AND SMUGGLERS 3 or 4 day one centre ride, exploring fascinating country based in a pretty farmhouse.
Until we have firm bookings dates for these rides are flexible.

Special Rides
We have several ONCE A YEAR SPECIAL RIDES.
The GOYESCO CELEBRATIONS. We run an annual ride which includes this festival, usually around the first week in September. This week is filled with bullfighting on foot and on horseback in the costume of the famous painter’s era and wonderful carriage driving displays and competitions in the 18th Century bullring.
In early May there is also a once a year opportunity to ride with us and spend a full day at the FERIA DE CABALLO in Jerez.
GALLOPS FOR GOURMETS, is a luxurious feast for the senses, discovering the delicious Andalucian cuisine and ingredients, feasting on the fruits of this wonderful countryside.
When the hills of Southern Andlucia are filled with wild flowers we run our SPRING FLOWER SPECIAL annual tour in late April.

- Sweet Chestnut And Wild Lavender (4 Day Horse Riding Adventure)March, April, May, June, September, October
Your horses climb high above sleepy white Andalucian villages and deep river valleys and into the secret sweet chestnut forests where the scent of herbs rises as their hooves crush the mint and rosemary and lavender. In spring and early summer nightingales sing day and night. Prices from 800€
- Castle Plains: (4/5 days Trail Ride on Horseback)April, May and June
A ride that takes us down from the mountains of Ronda over rolling hills and meadow towards the Mediterranean and Atlantic, stretching away below us. Plenty of faster horse riding and 2 nights of this adventure spent within a Castle keep with stunning views of the lake and hills below. Prices from 850€
- Cork Cutters’ Circuit (4 Day Horseback Trek)April, May, June, September and October
Stunning views in all directions as we ride our horses along high ridges and into the mysterious, magnificent cork forests. The Atlantic and Mediterranean sparkle in the distance as we pass ancient farms on a partly paved Phoenician way, hidden in the folds of the mountains. Prices from 830€
- Lost Valley Route (7 days of Andalucian Adventure)April, May, September, October
A wild unspoilt ride in the Upper Genal Valley. Centuries ago the Moors were driven from the coast to settle in these remote villages and we ride on high ridges and deep valleys between ancient hamlets. This is a challenging horseride with steep climbs to spectacular views and long hours in the saddle. Prices from 1300€
